RHERI mobilizes local communities and schools at the village development committee (VDC) and ward levels to conduct public discussions and awareness events on various human rights issues such as caste/ethnic and gender discrimination, inclusion, constitutional assembly, state restructuring, rule of law, transparency, good governance, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development. Utilizing innovative mediums such as posters, documentaries, folk songs, street theater, and interactive approaches, RHERI aims to inform and engage people in community affairs. The organization believes that the ideas of democracy and good governance can only become a reality when ordinary people actively participate and are well-informed in the civic process. These focused programs empower individuals to hold the state and local government accountable and responsive to their needs.
