RHERI has gradually expanded its scope of operations, extending its reach beyond the original uprooted people from Rara to encompass the surrounding communities in Banke and Bardiya districts. In fact, the majority of beneficiaries of RHERI's programs are non-Raras, and many volunteers and office bearers are democratically elected from these surrounding communities. RHERI's strength lies in its close links with the community it serves, fostering a high level of trust and cooperation between the organization and the community. The organization's local character also helps minimize overhead costs. RHERI is a multifunctional community organization, continuously evolving its programs to meet the changing needs and conditions of the local people. Unlike singular-issue projects that lose relevance after completion, RHERI consistently generates social value by adapting to emerging needs and opportunities within the communities it serves.
